ARMAGH have made one change to their starting line-up for Sunday’s All-Ireland final against Galway.
In a switch presumably aimed at countering the physicality in the Galway middle eight, Shane O’Neill’s clubman Connaire Mackin replaces Ballyhegan defender in the Orchard side. Mackin is listed to start at number five with Barry McCambridge – who tracked Shane Walsh when the finalists drew in Sligo last month – taking the number four jersey.
McGrane can consider himself unlucky to miss out if fully fit. The pacey youngster scored the opening point against Kerry in the semi-final a fortnight ago but was later booked and substituted at half-time.
Elsewhere, manager Kieran McGeeney has kept faith with the side that started against Kerry. That means Stefan Campbell – who was unleashed at half-time against the Kingdom – continues in an impact role as do the likes of Ross McQuillan, Aidan Nugent, Jason Duffy and Jarly Og Burns, all of whom have impressed in cameo appearances.
