Armagh face Galway in the All-Ireland SFC final this Sunday. Armagh famously last won the Sam Maguire in 2002, when they were captained by their now-manager Kieran McGeeney, in an explosion of orange and white, defeating Kerry by one point to send the Orchard County to dreamland.

Galway comes into this looking to get their first SFC title since 2001, with the footballer of the year and top scorer being Pádraic Joyce, who is also now manager of the side.

The Tribesmen beat Meath in the All-Ireland final that year despite Roscommon winning the Connacht SFC.

The sides have already met this year, in Markievicz Park, Sligo, with Armagh rescuing a late draw through Tiernan Kelly’s goal.
