The All-Ireland Minor football final sees the third meeting of the Oak Leafers of Derry and the Orchardmen of Armagh this season.

Derry hold the upper hand having come out victorious in the two Ulster Championship clashes between the sides.

They are also the current holders of the Tom Markham Cup and hope to secure a third minor title in five seasons.

Today’s final is the third time in successive years that two teams from the same province have contested the All-Ireland Minor Football Championship final.

They met in the group phase of the tournament when Damien McErlain’s side romped to an unexpected 2-18 to 0-7 win and they met again in the Ulster final.
