After an eventful club season, it is back to the inter-county action as the National Leagues get underway this Saturday in spectacular style as both hurling and gaelic football are in action this weekend.
To start the new season off we, ironically, have a re-run of the last fixture of last season, as All-Ireland winners Armagh take on losing finalists from last summer, Galway.
The two teams clash at Pearse Stadium in Salthill, with the Tribesmen looking to get revenge for the Orchard County pipping them at the post to take the Sam Maguire Cup.

Armagh will be without Ciaran Mackin for the season opener after the Clann Eireann half-back tore his cruciate ligament in training during last year’s All-Ireland Senior Football Championship run.
Galway have a fully fit squad to start the season off, with their sights firmly set on a victory over their recent northern rivals.
