LUKE Harron slotted over the winner in added-on time at the end of extra-time to send Ederney through to the Mannok Fermanagh semi-finals.

Ederney trailed by seven at half-time having played into a strong breeze and there was six between the sides with six minutes left but an unanswered 1-3, including a Chris Snow penalty, sent the game to extra-time.

Kinawley had the better of things in the first half with Tomas Corrigan rattling over four points, while Donal Owens, Dylan Boyle and Paul Breen also tagged on scores.

Ederney’s sole point in the first half came from Pol McKervey but they failed to take advantage of a number of goal chances.

Ederney started the second half well with Shaun McCarron and Snow knocking over points, but Kinawley were awarded a penalty which Sean McManus fired over before Tomas Corrigan restored the seven-point advantage with 40 minutes played.

Ederney continued to battle and the experienced Marty McGrath landed two points, but with six minutes to go Kinawley still held a six-point lead.

However, points from McKervey, Paul McCusker and Snow reduced the deficit to three before Snow’s penalty deep in added-on time sent the contest to extra-time.

The sides shared four points in the first half of extra-time before  Kinawley pushed ahead as Brennan and Corrigan put them two up in the second period.

But Paul McCusker and McKervey tied up matters for Ederney before Harron sealed the win with a well-taken point at the death to set up a semi-final clash with Enniskillen.

Belleek 0-9 Teemore 0-7

SHANE Rooney and Seamus Ryder hit late points as Erne Gaels edged Teemore on Saturday to set up a semi-final against Derrygonnelly.

The sides were level on five occasions before Declan Bonner’s Belleek outfit hit the final two scores.

The first half was slow scoring, with the opening point arriving from Ultan Kelm before Ronan McCaffrey replied from a free for Teemore.

Scores from Dan McCann and Oisin Kelm put the home side into a 0-3 to 0-1 lead by the 26th minute but Teemore had the final say of the half as Oisin Murphy slotted over to leave one in it at the interval.

The Shamrocks made a good start to the second half as Sean McNally drilled over two excellent long-range frees before Colm McNally popped over to put the away side into a 0-5 to 0-3 lead as the contest entered the final quarter.

Erne Gaels replied with three points of their own – two from Shane Rooney frees and a point from play from Kelm – to nudge in front.

Ronan McCaffrey and Ryder then swapped frees before another long-range effort from McNally had the contest level at 0-7 apiece with four to go.  However, Erne Gaels pushed on as Rooney and Ryder tagged on points to put them into the last four.
