Paddy Neilan will referee Errigal Ciarán v Cuala in the All-Ireland Club Senior Football final

Paddy Neilan has been confirmed as the referee for the All-Ireland Club Senior Football Championship final between Errigal Ciarán and Cuala.

The electrician from Roscommon was previously a linesman and stand-by referee for the 2022 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship final between Kerry and Galway.

Tyrone and Dublin’s champions will face off at Croke Park for their first All-Ireland club titles on Sunday at 3.40pm.

This year will see history being made in both the football and hurling finals for two clubs as all four of the finalists in both codes have never clinched the All-Ireland senior title before in their respective codes.

Errigal Ciarán‘s opponents Cuala won back-to-back All-Ireland senior hurling championships in 2017 and 2018 but have never lifted the ultimate prize in the big ball code.

This season has been one of firsts for the south Dublin outfit, with their side winning their first Dublin and Leinster SFC titles.

In the hurling, Galway’s Liam Gordon will take the reins of Sunday’s hurling decider between Sarsfields of Cork and Dublin’s Na Fianna, who both beat the odds to make their way to Jones’ Road, with Sarsfields beating Derry’s Sleacht Néill and Na Fianna overcoming the Galway champions Loughrea by a point at Semple Stadium.

Sunday’s senior hurling final throws in at 1.30pm.
