Conor Carroll: Executed some lovely kick-outs against Armagh’s high press in the opening half and generally did well. 7

Niall Higgins: An afternoon to forget at HQ. He lost Barry McCambridge too easily for Armagh’s opening goal and was turned over for their second goal. Hit a first-half beauty off his left foot. 5

Brian Stack: If you’d a team of Brian Stacks. Showed great leadership in adversity. Made a brave block in the opening exchanges, turned Rian O’Neill over that lead to a Roscommon point and got on the scoresheet himself with an awesome point. Couldn’t have given any more. 8

Robbie Dolan: Had a number of different marking roles and battled to the end. 6

David Murray: Not on long enough to be rated. Injured after seven minutes.

Ronan Daly: Shadowed Barry McCambridge on numerous occasions and shuttled up and down the middle of the pitch but couldn’t affect the game. 5.5

Eoin McCormack: Got on a heap of ball and was Roscommon’s out ball a lot of the time. Got the first score of the second half that gave the Rossies hope. 7

Enda Smith: Turned over badly by Ben Crealey in the first half and was punished. No buccaneering runs from Roscommon’s talisman because Armagh blocked all roads. 5.5

Ruaidhrí Fallon: Two first-half yellow cards that he couldn’t dispute and his afternoon was over before half-time. 4

Ultan Harney: Not on long enough. Appeared to pull up with a back injury.

Diarmuid Murtagh: Lost in Armagh’s defensive web and one of Roscommon’s key attackers was nullified. Hit a consolation late on. 5

Shane Cunnane: Worked like a trojan and made a fantastic block to deny Ross McQuillan. Eventually ran out of steam. 6.5

Daire Cregg: A tough opening half which didn’t improve. Didn’t bring his shooting boots to this quarter-final and ended scoreless. 4.5

Conor Cox: Roscommon’s scoring resistance in a difficult first half. Showed strong resilience when others around him were struggling. 6.5

Donie Smith: A couple of early wides and found the Armagh defence too tough to break down. 5

Subs:

Dylan Ruane: Entered for the injured David Murray after seven minutes. Grabbed two second-half points. 7

Ciaran Lennon: Put himself about after being introduced for the injured Ultan Harney. 6.5

Adam McDermott: Took over from Donie Smith. Grabbed a point. 5

Cathal Heneghan: Game was gone before his 61st introduction. 5

Andrew Glennon: Not on long enough to be rated.
