ANTRIM’S Carey Faughs will hope to advance to their first-ever All-Ireland final after edging out Swatragh in the Ulster Intermediate final
However, they must get past their first All-Ireland semi-final against Munster champions Watergrasshill.
After their provincial win, the Ballyvoy club will travel down to Páirc Tailteann in Navan.
Faughs will, like fellow Ulster champions Sleacht Néill and Ballinascreen, face opposition from the Rebel County.
The Hill will prove tough opposition, having gotten over the challenge of Cashel King Cormacs of Tipperary to take the Munster Intermediate Championship title for the first time in the club’s history.
The winner of this tie will face either Tynagh/Abbey-Duniry of Galway or Rathnure of Wexford in the All-Ireland Intermediate Hurling Championship final at Croke Park in the new year.
