Limerick and Cork will meet again after their historic clash in the Munster Championship earlier in the season, with Cork coming out on top

IN a season that could be historic for current All-Ireland hurling champions Limerick, Cork will want to show that they are able to upset the steepest of odds again to spoil the party.

No team has ever won the Liam McCarthy Cup five times in a row, with Kiely’s Treaty County looking to make history and cementing themselves as one of the greatest hurling teams there has ever been.

Limerick have been ruthless in success throughout most of this season, despite a bump in the road in the league semi-final against Kilkenny and an upset at Páirc Uí Chaoimh to their opponents this weekend Cork .

The ‘full house’ signs will be erected outside Croke Park for Sunday’s eagerly-awaited All-Ireland SHC semi-final, as these two Munster rivals clash for the second time this year.

Patrick Horgan (0-10) and Declan Dalton (0-6) led the Rebels to the All-Ireland semi-final as they defeated Dublin in the last stage 0-26 to 0-21.

This championship season has been one of ups and downs for Cork, defeating Limerick in Munster but suffering losses to Waterford and fellow semi-finalists Clare along the way yet they made it through to the All-Ireland stages.

What time is throw-in for the All-Ireland semi-final?

Limerick’s clash with Cork will start at 4pm on Sunday July 7, and is part of a Croke Park double-header with the All-Ireland Senior Camogie Championship quarter-final between Galway and Waterford commencing at 1.30pm.

How can I watch Limerick v Cork?

The All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship semi-finals will be shown on RTÉ and also on BBC Two NI, as will the final in two weeks time.

This will see the winners of this game face the winners of the other semi-final between Leinster championship winners Kilkenny and Munster finalists Clare.
