PORTAFERRY routed Ballycran in a replay of the last six finals as they took the short trip across the Ards peninsula to St Joesph’s.

The reigning Down champions had the advantage of the wind in the first half and they made full use of it with the score reading 2-12 to 0-5 to the visitors at the break.

In the second half, Portaferry managed to keep their hold on the game with the scoreline finishing at 2-22 to 0-13.

Carryduff beat rivals Bredagh at Cherrydale.

The visitors stayed in front from the first quarter to the last with the gap widening between the two as the game went on.

Two soft goals dropped to the net were ultimately the difference between the two sides with Carryduff coming out on top by six points on a scoreline of 2-15 to 0-15.

On Saturday, Liatroim fell to Ballygalget by nine points with a scoreline of 5-21 to 2-21 as the Ards side picked up their second win of the season and stayed level on points with championship favourites Portaferry.
