Alpine’s new A290 will be priced from £33,500

With a choice of five trim levels, and one battery pack with two power outputs, Alpine’s first electric has plenty of options.

Alpine has revealed prices and specifications for its first electric vehicle, the A290.

Prices kick off at £33,500 for the entry-level GT model which features a host of standard equipment such as a 10-inch navigation touchscreen, heated front seats, 19-inch alloy wheels and LED headlights.

Other trim levels in the range consist of GT Premium at £36,000, GT Performance for no extra cost, GTS at £37,500 and the flagship GTS Premiere Edition at £38,500 which boasts blue brake calipers, black wheels, sports tyres and the more powerful electric motor setup.

In terms of what powers the A290, there is only one battery pack on offer which is a 52kWh unit – but it comes with a choice of two different electric motors. One produces 174bhp in total while a more powerful version increases this to 214bhp.

Alpine will offer a number of incentives to customers who purchase an A290 before February 4 with a £250 deposit. This included a free servicing offer for the first three years through Mobilize Financial Services and a variety of VIP experiences including a track day experience with the firm’s A110 sports car at Thruxton or Knockhill race tracks.

Order books are open now for the new Alpine A290 with expected customer deliveries to commence in April 2025.
