DS Automobiles has revealed special edition variants of its DS 3 and DS 4 to celebrate its 70th anniversary.
The manufacturer – which acts as a premium arm of Citroen – is calling these models under the name ‘Pallas 55’, after the original Citroen DS which was revealed at the Paris Motor Show in 1955.
The DS 3 Pallas 55 comes with 18-inch ‘Nice’ alloy wheels, a black roof and comes as standard with the comfort pack, boasting keyless entry and floor mats.
The larger DS 4 Pallas 55 benefits from 19-inch ‘Lima’ alloy wheels, a black roof, a powered tailgate, electric heated front seats and privacy glass.
Both cars come equipped with the same hybrid powertrain. It’s a 1.2-litre three-cylinder turbocharged petrol unit mated to an electric motor to produce 134bhp.
A 0.9kWh battery pack is fitted to both models, which means that low-speed town driving can be made on electric power alone.
This reduces the CO2 emissions and makes the DS 3 and DS 4 cheaper to run. Plus, all cars feature a six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission as standard.
Order books are open now with prices starting at £32,500 for the DS 3 Pallas 55 and rising to £35,500 for the DS 4 Pallas 55.
