1. Limited Edition La Gioiosa Rosea Brut x Yvonne Ellen, Veneto, Italy, £10, Waitrose, available from February 1
Sure to be a runaway hit, leading Prosecco producer La Gioiosa have teamed up with British designer Yvonne Ellen to create this limited edition bottle… showcasing a golden tiger sporting a sweet red bow collar. Beautifully fresh and crisp with notes of redcurrants and raspberries, it’s flowing with girly charm.
2. Ferrari Maximum Rosé NV, Trentino, Italy, £29.90, VINVM
One for race fans, Ferrari Trento are the Official Toast of Formula 1 for the 2025 season… but if you can’t wait for these jubilant bubbles to be sprayed on the podium, we’re singing the praises of this pukka pink. Beautifully aromatic with an open bouquet of blossom and notes of wild strawberry; toasty, complex red fruit flavours are complemented by a creamy mousse and flourish of a finish. Bellessima!
3. Palmer & Co Rosé Solera NV Champagne in Gift Box, France, £49, Champagne Direct
A champagne lovers’ champagne and glass to swoon over, this IWSC 2024 Gold medal winner was awarded a splendid 98 points. A full, elegant style which combines flavours of wild berries, citrus hints and delicate notes of vanilla and spice, there’s a wonderful purity, precision and freshness topped with a long silky texture and delicious intensity.
4. Porte Noir Petit Rosé NV Brut Champagne, France, £50, Harvey Nichols
Blink and you’ll miss actor Idris Elba’s name on his Porte Noir label – crafted by the Sanger Champagne house and worth seeking out. Crowd pleasing with its scented, bold aromas of raspberry, strawberry and brioche enhanced by a touch of white pepper, the palate reveals similar flavours with floral notes, fresh acidity and long-lasting finish. Really impressive.
5. Balfour Brut Rosé 2019, Kent, England, £55, Balfour Winery
One of England’s finest and their flagship sparkler, there’s a beguiling savoury edge and wonderful freshness to this elegantly structured rosé with enticing aromas of cranberry, blackberry and hedgerow fruits; complex and evolving with lovely crisp fresh fruit, citrus, herbs and fruit-driven, distinctive finish. This latest vintage was awarded 93 points by Decanter Magazine, and bound to please.
6. Moët & Chandon Grand Vintage Rosé 2015 Champagne, France, £68.95, The Champagne Company
If you’re celebrating a 10-year anniversary or significant calendar date, we’re singing the praises of this label’s 45th rosé vintage in the house’s history. Seductive and beautifully expressive with notes of black cherries, blackberry and fig, what it promises on the nose the wine delivers on the palate with beautiful depth of flavour; packed with mature red and black fruits, spicy accents, notes of pink peppercorn and cranberry, gliding to a full, fresh finish.
