- Spar is continuing its 'stock up and save for Christmas' deals and coming up from November 13 to 19 is a cracker. Each customer is allowed a maximum of six bottles per transaction. Also, stock up on medium-sized selection boxes with three for a fiver (normally £2 each).

- American Express cardholders, it's time to save your Shop Small offer to your account, for use between December 2 and 17. In case you missed my earlier mention of this promotion, it encourages cardholders to use shop in small businesses with an incentive of £5 statement credit (essentially a partial refund) when you spend £10 or more at participating retailers.
