Master Chefs to battle it out for coveted title

Professional chefs are set to battle it out in a cooking competition with a prize that includes a trip to Europe to work with a master in the industry.

Celebrity chef Danny Millar was in Belfast's Balmoral Hotel yesterday to launch the Féile an Phobail Professional Master Chef event that is calling on competitive cooks from Belfast and beyond to get out of their professional kitchens for a day.

The Master Chef Challenge will see four professional chef’s fight it out for the coveted title in front of a live audience at the Balmoral Hotel.

Danny Millar, a finalist in the Great British Menu and head chef at Balloo Inns will head up the panel of judges that include the Irish News restaurant reviewer Allison Morris, the Belfast Telegraph's Joris Minne, Deanes Eipic head chef Danni Barry and food critic John Ferris.
