I went to a yoga class involving 108 sun salutations to mark the summer solstice. This is what I learned:
108 sun salutations is around about 88 too many
Your hamstrings will not thank you. Indeed they may not speak to you for several days
Afterwards when you’re struggling for something positive to say to the teacher you’ll manage “That was tough”. She will reply “So powerful too”. And you will make a sound that could be interpreted as agreement, but your eyes will tell a different story
Others in the class will talk about how this year’s 108 sun salutations compared to last year’s 108 sun salutations and you will wonder why anyone would put themselves through it more than once
You will make a mental note never to do this again
