DOGS may smell stress from our sweat, recent research suggests - a finding that could help train therapy dogs better.
Researchers at Queen's University Belfast took sweat samples from 36 participants before and after they did a maths quiz and found that dogs were able to identify between the participants' relaxed and stressed scents, even when they didn't know the person.
Stress sweat is released in response to cortisol and adrenaline (the stress hormones) by glands in the skin.
