It's always nice to get a thank you card and in Carrickfergus the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service (NIFRS) decided it was about time their colleagues in the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service (NIAS) received one.
The NIFRS crew turned up at the ambulance station in the Co Antrim town with the card and some tea and coffee making essentials.
NIAS said members of the public and local businesses are being very generous as paramedics join the wider NHS family in fighting the coronavirus crisis.
We are getting lots of generosity from the public and local businesses. We will find a way of thanking them all but tonight our brothers and sisters @NIFRSOFFICIAL in Carrickfergus arrived at the ambulance station to say how much they appreciate what our crews do.
