Most of us have watched the game show Pointless: if it pops up on the TV and you can’t be bothered to change the channel, it’s a pretty pleasant way to pass the time.
But if you tuned in to Monday’s episode you were in for a bit of a treat, with what is possibly one of the most awkward moments we’ve ever seen.
Dear followers, get off to a good start to 2017 and watch the end of a friendship. Thank you #pointless. Thank you. pic.twitter.com/V87JicODIA

Just amazing. Yes, it is *slightly* awkward that Sarah (who lives in England and studied A-Level Geography) can’t name a country that ends with two consonants and thinks Paris is a country, but it’s really her friend’s reaction that is truly priceless. Many have marvelled at the sheer #drama of the eye roll.
Best eye roll on a quiz show from Mariam when her partner Sarah said Paris ?????? #pointless

Some really worry for the state of their friendship after this.
You can pinpoint the exact moment a friendship ends on TV. The facial expression is priceless #Pointless #Paris pic.twitter.com/BLCSeEayEV

Don't let Paris come between friends. It's #Pointless

That moment when you have to name a country ending in two consonants and your friend (now ex-friend) says PARIS #pointless pic.twitter.com/BuSPANsZ4j

Some people found the whole situation pretty relatable.
@Tartantrums @jenbo_29 I feel like this is you when I do stupid stuff at work ??

@CpnRad YES! Saw that RTd earlier. I feel a deep connection with her friend.

We really hope that the two can work through such savage side eye.
