When Ed Miliband was interviewed by Eddie Mair this morning things got distinctly more personal than perhaps we’ve come to expect from the Andrew Marr show.
How did @Ed_Miliband deal with losing the 2015 General Election?#marr pic.twitter.com/LCBzzLhxxU

Mair certainly isn’t messing about, asking Miliband questions like “did you cry?” and “were you depressed?” after losing the 2015 election. For some, it was a welcome change from normal politics chat.
Eddie Mair to Ed Miliband: 'Did you cry?'
Much punchier than a usual Sunday.

Love that Eddie Mair is offering Ed Miliband therapy on #marr. Did you seek solace in friends? Were you depressed? Did you cry?

But what was really going on here? For many it felt like Mair had switched from interviewer to therapist.
not quite sure if Eddie Mair was interviewing Ed Miliband there or trying to give him therapy #Marr

Eddie Mair has given up asking professional questions and has now started Ed Miliband's therapy session. #marr

Others aren’t so sure why Mair was asking such personal questions about something that happened two years ago.
#Marr "Did you cry", seriously is that what you should be asking Ed Miliband . Next question will be "Did you cuddle your teddy". Poor

@Ed_Miliband made great points whilst being faced with some weirdly unnecessary questions. maybe ask Cameron if he's had a good cry! #marr

What is this Miliband interview? "Did you cry?". It's the Marr show not Oprah #marr

Well, at least Miliband didn’t have to pay to sit on a sofa and talk about his feelings.
