Paul Weller has announced he is expecting his eighth child at the age of 58 – but he is not the oldest celebrity to enjoy fatherhood.

Rolling Stones singer Sir Mick Jagger welcomed his eighth child, son Deveraux Octavian Basil, with partner Melanie Hamrick in December last year, at the age of 73.

Sir Elton John and David Furnish welcomed their second son, Elijah, in 2013 when the singer was 66.
Paul announced this week that he is expecting his third child with Hannah Andrews later this year.
His spokesman said in a statement: “Hannah and baby are doing great and the whole family are looking forward to meeting the littlest Weller in the summer.”
