Lily Cole appears as Queen Elizabeth I in a first-look image from a new docu-drama about the monarch.
The picture shows the model having her hair and make-up done ahead of the Queen’s coronation.
Lily, 29, will play Elizabeth as she grows “from adolescent princess to warrior queen” in the three-part Channel 5 programme.
The first two episodes will follow Elizabeth from her childhood to the start of her reign.
The final instalment will see the Queen facing the greatest threat during her rule – the Spanish Armada.
Channel 5 said: “This is the story of an outcast who became a great queen.”
The series, Elizabeth I, airs in May.
