Tom Hardy transformed into an ageing and ailing gangster in the trailer for upcoming crime film Capone.
The British actor plays one of America’s most notorious criminals in the movie, starring as Chicago mob boss Al Capone.
The trailer shows a bald and ill-looking Hardy as FBI agents accuse him of feigning dementia to avoid paying tax on his ill-gotten gains.
Originally developed under the title Fonzo, Capone’s synopsis states: “The 47-year old Al Capone, after 10 years in prison, starts suffering from dementia, and comes to be haunted by his violent past.”

Capone director Josh Trank shared the trailer on Twitter and revealed it will arrive on streaming services on May 12.
A theatrical release had been planned before coronavirus closed cinemas in both the UK and US. Trank said he hopes Capone will get a theatrical release later this year.
It is not Hardy’s first time playing a notorious gangster. He portrayed both Kray twins in 2015 crime film Legend.
Capone is one of the most infamous mafia figures in criminal history. He was jailed for tax evasion and died aged 48 in 1947.
