Chinese firm Meizu has created an eye-catching way to make their headphones stand out – a light-up cable that can glow red or blue for up to five hours.

The futuristic-looking earphones are aptly known as Halo, and are wrapped in a light-diffusing fibre made from flexible glass that can be bent and curved.

There’s a control on the cable that – in addition to offering the traditional options such as volume control – also includes a switch to turn the lights on and off.

The bad news is that for now, the Halo appears to only be going on sale in China, where they’ll cost around £113 when they launch at the end of April.
