BELFAST musician and composer David Holmes has won a major TV award for his soundtrack to hit drama Killing Eve.
Mr Holmes and his American co-composer Keefus Ciancia were announced as the winners of the Original Music category at the Bafta TV Craft Awards last night.
The awards recognise behind-the-scenes talent like writers, editors and sound mixers and are held the month before the main Bafta TV Awards.
The Northern Ireland musician and his band Unloved, which includes Ciancia and singer Jade Vincent, also provide most of the music for Killing Eve.
The quirky spy drama stars Sandra Oh as MI5 officer Eve Polastri on the trail of ruthless assassin Villanelle, played by Jodie Comer.
Holmes, who lives and works in Belfast, began DJ-ing in the city as a teenager, and has gone on to write the score for numerous films including the Ocean's Eleven series and Hunger, as well as TV series The Fall.
He is also the mastermind behind God’s Waiting Room, a series of original music evenings, the last of which will be held in Belfast next month, featuring Unloved.
The big winner at the awards was BBC drama A Very English Scandal, scooping three prizes for best costume design, best editing (fiction) and best director (fiction) for Stephen Frears.
The main Bafta awards will be held on Sunday, May 12.
Killing Eve has been nominated for best drama series while Jodie Comer and Sandra Oh have both been nominated for the leading actress award.
Unloved play a pair of Irish dates next week at Whelan's in Dublin on May 9 and Belfast's Cathedral Quarter Arts Festival Marquee on May 10.
