A Belfast teenager impressed crowds travelling through Dublin Airport on Tuesday with an unexpected piano performance.

Cory (13) stopped travellers in their tracks when he took to the airport’s Terminal 1 piano play a few tunes before boarding a flight to Spain.

A clip of Cory playing Experience by Italian composer Ludovico Einaud was shared by the airport on social media platform X and has since been viewed thousands of times.

The post read: “Wow! 13 year old Cory from Belfast stopped passengers in their tracks in Arrivals at Dublin Airport this morning with a stunning rendition of Ludovico Einaudi’s Experience

“Talented and cool… sat down, rattled off Bohemian Rhapsody and a couple of Ludovico Einaudi numbers, picked up his bag and went to meet his family to go and catch a plane to Spain. Thanks, Cory!”

His performance was welcomed by applause from travellers who stopped to take in the teenagers performance.

One person commented: “Fabulous and so relaxing to listen to”. Another praised the Belfast teenagers skill: “Well done” What an amazing talent.”

Dublin Airport has had a piano in the arrivals hall of terminal 1 since 2018.

The Schiller upright piano was installed to encourage people of all ages and abilities to play.
