No-one was injured after a shot was fired through a window of a house in Co Derry.
It is believed no-one was in the property at Ard Na Smoll in Dungiven when the attackers struck at around 6.20pm on Saturday.
Local councillor Sean McGlinchey last night said that the attack was “not what the people of Dungiven want”.
The Sinn Féin man also said that he has previously raised concerns about the allocation of houses in the area with the housing executive and local housing association.
While it is not known who fired the shot at the house, an organisation known as the North Derry Republican Group has carried out similar attacks in the past.
The PSNI is investigating the shooting.
