Three holiday and residential parks linked to the collapse of five businesses in Co Down have gone on the market for £15 million.
Administrators from BDO took control of the sites in Groomsport, Ballyhalbert and Cloughey on September 4.
The businesses involved in the insolvency process include: Blackpool Rock Limited, Lifestyle Homes N. Ireland Limited, Lifestyle Seeview Limited, Lifestyle Living (NI) Limited and Park Homes (NI) Limited.
They were the trading entities for Windsor Holiday Park & Seahaven Residential Park in Groomsport; Ballyhalbert Residential and Holiday Park; and Cloughey Holiday Park.
Adrian Gleave was the ultimate beneficiary and director for all five companies.
The intervention from BDO followed a notice from HSBC on August 30 demanding the immediate repayment of £11.6 million.
It’s understood the businesses had sought further borrowings as a result of the impact of Covid-19 and the subsequent lockdown periods.
Belfast-based business restructuring specialist BDO is now seeking to sell the assets.
The coastal sites have been developed with a total of 845 pitches comprising 565 static and 280 residential pitches.
In its listing, BDO states there is immediate scope to increase turnover through a combination of unit sales, pitch fees and adding new on park amenities.
It states the three sites generated £1.5m in turnover in the first half of 2024, with the Groomsport site alone accounting for £801,470.
BDO said the parks are available on a group basis, but it said “premium offers” may be considered for each of the sites on an individual basis.
