Dublin-born entrepreneur Rosaleen Blair has been named as the new chair of the north’s largest listed company Kainos.

The founder of outsourcing giant AMS (Alexander Mann Solutions), the London-based business figure served as the company’s chief executive for 23 years, before moving to the position of chair.

She joined the board of Kainos in 2021 and had recently served as deputy chair of the Belfast-based digital services group.

Ms Blair succeeds Tom Burnett, who has stepped down from the company’s board along with Andy Malpass.

Kainos confirmed the leadership reshuffle following the group’s AGM on Tuesday.

Speaking afterwards, Kainos chief executive, Russell Sloan, said: “I would like to reiterate my thanks to Tom and Andy on behalf of the board for the knowledge and leadership they brought to their roles.

“We are very grateful for the support they have offered both to Kainos and to all those they worked closely with.”
