The former boss of Flint Studios has been appointed as the new managing director of Belfast-based digital transformation firm Pinnacle.

Jeremy Biggerstaff takes on the role just one year after Pinnacle acquired Flint Studios, which has offices in Belfast, Derry and Warrington.

The senior executive was managing director of the digital agency for more than a decade.

The acquisition of Flint Studios was one of five business takeovers completed by Pinnacle in a 14 month period.

Although headquartered in East Belfast, Pinnacle employs more than 200 people at locations across the UK and Ireland.

The company specialises in providing cloud-based enterprise resource planning and accounting software solutions, along with managed IT services.

The recent acquisitions have added web development, integration and hosting expertise to its offering.

Mr Biggerstaff succeeds James Spencer, who served as Pinnacle’s managing director for 22 years.

The outgoing boss will remain with the company to focus on further acquisitions.

“Under James’ leadership, Pinnacle has achieved remarkable growth and expanded its operations significantly,” said the new managing director.

“Without his enormous contribution, Pinnacle would not be the thriving company it is today.”

Mr Biggerstaff has 27 years of experience and expertise in the business management and software development industry.

He was managing director of UTV New Media for eight years, from 2004 to 2012, overseeing web portals and internet services.

Pinnacle’s founder and executive chair, Ken Montgomery, said: “Jeremy brings a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of our industry.

“His leadership skills and strategic vision align seamlessly with Pinnacle’s commitment to its people as well as delivering quality business management software solutions that transform our customers’ performance.

“We are confident that under Jeremy’s guidance, coupled with well-established and talented board of directors, will elevate a great company together.

“We extend our gratitude to James Spencer for his exceptional leadership and look forward to the exciting chapter that Jeremy will lead us into.”
