The price of road fuel and home heating oil has fallen to its lowest level in the north for more than a year.
New analysis published by the Consumer Council shows the average cost of a litre of diesel has dropped below £1.40 for the first time since July 2023.
The snapshot survey suggests an average of £1.397 for diesel and £1.38 for petrol over the past week in Northern Ireland.
Omagh was the cheapest place to buy road fuel in the past week, according to the Consumer Council, with petrol averaging £1.308 and while diesel came in at £1.353.
Meanwhile, home heating oil prices were also trending downward this week, with the average price of 500 litres of home heating oil coming in at £294.60.
Again, it was the lowest price measured by the Consumer Council since July 2023.
Home heating oil prices have now fallen for six consecutive weeks in Northern Ireland.
