Leading London accountancy firm Moore Kingston Smith has expanded into Northern Ireland.

Founded in 1923 and with six offices in London and the south-east, it has acquired Moore Northern Ireland, which has offices in Belfast, Coleraine and Derry, with seven partners and 100 staff.

The move follows Moore Kingston Smith’s acquisition of Moore Ireland in July 2023.

It’s Moore Kingston Smith’s fourth acquisition since an investment from European private equity firm Waterland to fund its M&A programme as part of its growth strategy.

Recognising the business links between the financial centres of London, Belfast and Dublin, and with growing cross-border trade, Moore Kingston Smith, Moore Ireland and Moore NI form a tripartite to best serve clients operating across that geographical triangle.

Like Moore Kingston Smith, Moore NI is an established member of the Moore Global network.

The firms have enjoyed a close working relationship over the years and are aligned in their vision and goals, as well as sharing common cultures and values.

Matt Meadows, managing partner of Moore Kingston Smith, said: “As long-standing members of the Moore Global network, we’ve enjoyed an excellent relationship with Moore Northern Ireland having worked with them closely over the years.
