Belfast events company Nightcap has relaunched The Foxes Den following a £50,000 refit of the Newtownards restaurant.

Declan Holmes and Dean McFarland’s hospitality and mobile bar-tending service company bought its first licensed premises in September 2023.

The duo said the relaunch of the venue marks the first phase of their plans to expand the Nightcap Event Group.

The fit-out of the 106-seater restaurant was carried out by Nordica Design.

Dean McFarland said the move from a service business to owning and operating a hospitality venue was “a bold move”, but he said it had paid off.

“We have both protected and enhanced the business while building upon our expertise in food and catering, and are now able to offer a one-stop shop service for outside events requiring food and drink.

“This combination is the ideal launch pad for our next period of growth in expanding our hospitality offering and acquiring additional venues.”

Declan Holmes said their new Newtownards business has grown rapidly since the takeover.

“To accommodate the increased demand, we realised that there was even more potential if we increased the seating capacity and better utilised the space,” he said.

“As a result, table availability within the restaurant has now increased by over 50%.”
