Northern Ireland-born consultant dermatologist and television presenter Dr Emma Craythorne has launched her bespoke skincare treatment at a clinic in Belfast.
Klira is a personalised medical grade treatment developed for a range of skin concerns including acne, rosacea, melasma and sun damage.
Harley Street-based Dr Craythorne, who has gained global recognition for her role in the TV series ‘The Bad Skin Clinic’, which shown in more than 100 countries, launched the Klira range in a collaboration with Belfast Skin Clinic, a private clinic offering treatments for all skin problems and associated conditions.
The Klira products (www.klira.skin) have been carefully formulated to optimise delivery of the active ingredients and are made individually for each person and supplied in an environmentally friendly packaging system.
Dr Craythorne visited Belfast Skin Clinic to launch the collaboration and also presented her experience of the optimum treatment of scars to the clinic team.
Belfast Skin Clinic at Deramore Drive has a team which specialises in scar management and Dr Craythorne’s talk generated useful exchange of knowledge regarding management of challenging scars.
Its medical director Dr Pamela McHenry said “We established the Belfast Skin Clinic in 2016 with the aim of offering integrated care with a dedicated team of consultant dermatologists, plastic surgeons, vascular surgeons, rheumatologists, laser specialists, and aesthetic practitioners with the aim of delivering an exceptional patient experience.

Dr Craythorne said: “We are thrilled to have the opportunity to present Klira to medical staff at Belfast Skin Clinic.

She added: “For years I’ve been putting together beautiful prescription formulations in my Harley Street practice. Now through Klira I can open up access to bespoke skincare to anyone who takes their skin seriously.”
