An 11-year-old Irish girl has died after falling from a seventh-floor hotel balcony in Puerto de Alcudia in Majorca.
It is being reported that the youngster’s family was asleep next door, when she went out onto the balcony and fell what is believed to have been 65ft on to the roof of a first-floor restaurant at approximately 6:30am.
The family were staying at the Club Mac resort.
A police investigation is underway into the girl’s death, which was confirmed by a Civic Guard statement on Monday morning.
Paramedics and other emergency responders rushing to the hotel to revive the girl but she was pronounced dead at the scene.
At the moment, the Civic Guard is issuing is no more public information.

An autopsy is expected to take place later on Monday, and relatives are also believed to have been planning to return home.
A regional emergency coordination centre has offered the youngster’s family trauma counsellors.
