A man in his 60s has drowned after getting into difficulty while fishing on the Co Donegal coast.
The incident happened shortly before 8pm on Monday as the man was fishing from rocks at Marameelan, near Dungloe.
It is understood the man fell into the sea, and the alarm was raised.
Emergency services rushed to the area, but after being removed from the water the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
A garda spokesperson confirmed the incident, and the local coroner has been notified ahead of a post-mortem examination.
