Adrian Harkin will be remembered as a “remarkable individual” with a “passion and dedication” for outdoor pursuits.
Originally from Derry, Adrian died peacefully at home in Moville, Co Donegal on Thursday afternoon.
Diagnosed with motor neurone disease (MND) in 2022, he set about devising a unique challenge to raise awareness of the life-limiting condition.
He founded Summit 2 Sea for MND, where teams from across Ireland climbed the highest peaks in every county, while a relay of rowers travelled around the coast.
To date Summit 2 Sea for MND has raised €70,000 for MND research.
