The countdown is on for the return of the award-winning Belfast Christmas Market which is celebrating its 20th Birthday in style.

In four weeks time the annual pop up will return to the ground of City Hall on Saturday 16 November when the city’s Christmas lights switch-on event takes place.

As part of the celebrations, the Christmas Market will transport you to the Victorian era with its Dickensian-themed Christmas market experience.

On the opening weekend and again from Saturday 30 November to Sunday 1 December you’ll be immersed in the charm of Charles Dickens’s world.

Visitors can stroll through the market alongside iconic characters from his stories and enjoy enchanting storytelling and lively performances that bring his works to life.

With over 100 stalls the festive village will offer an array of quality Christmas fayre, handcrafted goods and bespoke artisan products.

If you fancy a treat, you can feast on exotic meat burgers, sip a soothing mug of hot Glühwein, indulge in some delicious Italian chocolates or taste specialty cheeses from across the world.

The Jolly Big Business Boost competition winners’ stall offers stylish and personalised pet accessories while traders from St George’s Market will also be there offering a range of homegrown goods.

Support ‘Kids Together Belfast’ and bring children to visit Santa in his magical grotto. The fun doesn’t have to stop there - you can take a ride on the vintage carousel or get a bird’s eye view of the market from the top of the helter-skelter.
