Thousands of runners took part in this year’s Moy Park Belfast Half Marathon 2024.
Record numbers took part in the annual the 13.1 mile running event got underway on Sunday morning.
People of all ages took part in the race, many raising vital funds for various charities and initiatives.
Organisers say they received more than 6,000 entries for this years event making it the biggest in its own 11 year history.
Runners set off on their journey from Ormeau Embankment at 9am and were given three hours to complete the course.
Shortly after 10am the first runners were already making it past the finishing line.
Barnaba Kipkoech was the overall winner with a time of 1:03:48 beating runner up Finn McNally by just over three minutes.
Natasha Cockram was the female to make it across the finish line with a time of 1:12:47.
John Allen, Chairman of the Belfast City Marathon organising committee said this year’s event had a record number of entries.
“We are delighted to welcome a record number of participants to the streets of Belfast for what has become a pivotal fixture in NI’s athletic calendar,” he said.
“We would like to extend a word of thanks to the local community for their patience throughout the event, and of course the volunteers who will generously donate their time and play a key role in making the event ‘run’ smoothly.”
