Thousands of people are expected to take part in this weekend’s Belfast Pride parade.
Over 150 events have been leading up to the annual event on July 28 where thousands of people take to the streets to stand together for the LGBTQ+ community.
The parade is the main event in the city’s LGBTQ+ calendar and this year’s theme is Love Your Mind.
In 2023, organisers had over 75,000 people attend and this year they hope to break that record.
Here’s everything you need to know if attending Belfast Pride Parade 2024
What time does the parade begin?
Pre parade build up starts from 11.30am onwards with the Belfast Pride Parade leaving at 1pm from Custom House Square.
What route will the parade take?
The parade will start off from the Albert clock and snake through the heart of the city centre via High Street, Donegall Street, York Street, Royal Avenue and Donegall Place.
It then passes Belfast City Hall before finishing off on Victoria Street.
What other events are taking place on Pride Day?
Belfast Pride’s Party in the square takes place at Custom House Square from 12pm.
Admission is free and the mainstage will showcase an array of talent including The Bjorn Identity - Tribute to Abba.
And for the first time ever, former UTV presenter Julian Simmons will perform his unique Ibiza Dance Show, featuring dancers, visuals and exclusive giveaways.
Meanwhile Pride Village will return at the Big Fish, Donegall Quay from 12pm.
The Pride themed market includes information stalls as well as children’s entertainment, bouncy castles, music and quiet space in an alcohol and smoke and vape free environment.
