One week on from the murder of Limavady teenager Blake Newland and police have made a specific appeal for information.
The detective leading the investigation has urged anyone with “footage, whether CCTV, mobile phone, or dash cam” to come forward.
Blake was stabbed multiple times in the Woodland Walk area of Limavady on February 2. Sadly, he later died from his injuries.
His funeral took place from his grandmother’s home on Thursday.
In a statement on Friday, PSNI Detective Chief Inspector Mark Gibson said: “Blake was just 17-years-old when his life was taken.
“This was the most tragic loss of a young man’s life.
“A loss which has left a community in shock and loved ones bereft.
“It is now one week on.
“And I’m keen to, first of all, extend sincere thanks to those who have assisted our investigation to-date.”
Mr Gibson added: “I’m also making a specific appeal for footage, whether CCTV, mobile phone, or dash cam.
“Were you in the Woodland Walk area of Limavady on Friday 2 February, between 8.30pm and 9.50pm?
“If you have captured any footage of this fatal attack or an earlier altercation, please share it with police using the major incident public portal.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact detectives on 101.
