Bruce Springsteen has promised to rock Belfast “into the ground” as he brings his European tour to the city tonight.
The Boss will perform at Boucher Road playing fields in his first Belfast performance for 11 years.
Around 40,000 fans are expected to descend on Boucher Road playing fields as The Boss and the E Street Band perform in Belfast for the first time in 11 years.
It will be the second show of the European leg of their 2024 world tour after playing in Cardiff’s Principality Stadium on Sunday.
In a video on his Instagram, the singer addressed the camera as he walked off-stage after Sunday night’s gig in Cardiff, said: “We’re coming to get you now – first show in Wales – and we’re going to rock you into the ground!”
The video then shows Springsteen at an airport ready to board his flight to Belfast.
Holding a stuffed dragon he picked up in Wales, the singer says: “You’re the home of my mother-in-law who was born there, so I don’t have to tell you that me, this dragon and the E Street Band are coming to rock you into the ground. See you soon.”
Springsteen is set to take the stage at Boucher Road playing fields tonight at 7pm.
