Charity launches new shared artist studio and events venue in Belfast

The Green House on Victoria Street will serve as a workspace for artists and will be open to the public on Saturday and Sunday

A new venue for artists, activists and events supported by Belfast City Council is opening to the public this weekend.

A project of the Another World Belfast charity, members have been working to finish the Green House venue on Victoria Street for their grand opening on Friday afternoon.

“Alongside becoming a new home for our existing projects Green House is to be a collaborative artist studio, sustainable fashion hub, creative share space, inclusive community workshop and events venue,” the group posted.

As part of the new project’s launch, members of the public can view the new space on Saturday and Sunday between 12-4pm.



Another World Belfast hope to introduce a new wave of arts combined with charity
Connor and Becky from Another World Belfast.

Established by Belfast duo Becky Bellamy and Connor Kerr in 2017, Another World Belfast is a community interest company (CIC) designed to give support to marginalised groups in the city – particularly LGBTQ+ communities.

Last year, they assisted with costumes for American star Lizzo’s Belsonic performance and are also known for running a swap shop store on Winetavern Street.
