Two children have been taken to hospital following a serious crash in Co Antrim.
The collision happened in the Carnlough Road area of Broughshane shortly before 4pm on Tuesday.
Emergency services including the charity Air Ambulance arrived at the scene as police closed the road to motorists.
A spokesperson for the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service said two emergency crews were sent to the scene.
“Following assessment and initial treatment at the scene, two patients were brought by ambulance to the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children,” they said.
DUP councillor for the Braid area, William McCaughey told the Irish News: “This is terrible news for the family of the children and for the wider community in Broughshane. Our thoughts are with those injured today and we are praying for a speedy recovery.”
A PSNI spokesperson said part of the Carnlough Road remained closed on Tuesday evening.
“There are diversions in place at the junctions with the Tullymore Road and Ballylig Road, please seek alternate routes for your journey,” they said.
