More episodes of children’s favourites Peppa Pig and Thomas the Tank Engine speaking in the Irish language could be on the cards.
It comes amid reports that RTÉ is seeking tenders for a contract to dub season nine of the series about the puddle-jumping animal, Peppa Pig, or ‘Peppa Muc’ in Irish.
The broadcaster is also looking for service providers to dub season two of the Thomas the Tank Engine spinoff, Thomas and Friends: All Engines Go.
Those chosen for the contact will be responsible for the casting of Irish-speaking characters, translating the original script and editing the episodes.
RTÉ reportedly hopes the two series will be broadcast in August and according to the tender documents, as reported by The Irish Mirror, the broadcaster expects to spend around €80,000.
It comes amid the fallout from the controversy that has surrounded RTÉ since last year.
The broadcaster was plunged into crisis when it revealed it had not correctly declared fees to its then-highest-paid earner, Ryan Tubridy.

The scandal widened as a series of other financial and governance issues emerged.
RTÉ has been given a €16 million bailout by the Irish government to plug a hole in its finances as thousands of people refused to pay their TV licence fees in the wake of the scandal.
