Adam Milton died in the collision on the A53, near Market Drayton in Shropshire, in the early hours of last Saturday, September 7.

Mr Milton, a 27-year-old father-of-one, was from Ballyclare, and was serving in the Royal Irish Regiment.

A 42-year-old father-of-two from Market Drayton, Wayne Neville, also died in the crash.

Both men were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, while a another man, who was a passenger in one of the two cars involved, was taken to hospital in Stoke.

A death notice for Mr Milton described him as the “devoted father of Leighla and baby Milton, cherished son of Andrea and Simon, much loved brother of Jack and Luke, loving partner of Aimee, beloved grandson of Ena and the late Bobby, Irene and the late Brian”.

A funeral service will be held at Templepatrick Presbyterian Church on Monday, before a burial at Ballyclare Cemetery.

Mr Milton was a member of the Ballyclare Protestant Boys flute band, and in a social media tribute post, a spokesperson said: “We have not only lost a band member but also a comrade, a brother, a true friend. Milton brought joy, happiness and many good laughs to each and every member.”
