It was a double celebration for Derry footballer Conor Glass over the weekend both on and off the pitch.
The 25-year-old sportsman was in winning ways after his team beat last year’s All-Ireland finalists Kerry in the Allianz League on Saturday.
And just a day later the celebrations continued when the two-time Ulster champion got engaged to girlfriend Niamh O’Donnell at Adare Manor in Limerick.
Ms O’Donnell shared their happy news on social media.
“I get to spend FOREVER with my best friend” she wrote, while Glass himself called it “the biggest W yet”.
The couple, who are understood to have been together since 2021, run an Australian-style cafe in Maghera.

In an interview with RSVP Live earlier this month, Glass said: “I think myself and Niamh have a fantastic relationship.
“We know each other inside and out.
“One thing we try to do is not take our work home. It can be hard sometimes, if you have a bad day at work, but that’s just human nature.
“You’ll be taking it home to your family, your mother or such when you do have a bad day.
“I can’t stress enough that it’s been the best thing for us to go into business together, because I can pass over the responsibility to Niamh and fully trust her that she’s going to do the right thing.
“It just comes down to the relationship that both of us have and the trust we have in each other.”
