Drugs seized in operation targeting East Belfast UVF

Drugs and other items have been seized after what police termed a “proactive search” of a house in east Belfast.

The operation by the Paramilitary Crime Task Force (PCTF) in the Finmore Court area was part of an ongoing investigation into drugs criminality linked to East Belfast UVF.



A PSNI spokesperson said: “As a result of this search, a quantity of suspected Class A drugs, namely cocaine, was seized along with cash and drugs-related paraphernalia.

“The PCTF is committed to tackling all types of criminality linked to paramilitaries and we assure the public that we will continue to act on the information you provide.”
