Dungiven shooting: Damage caused after shots fired at house

Police say the property was unoccupied at the time

Damage has been caused after a number of shots were fired at a house in Co Derry.

Police said the shooting happened in the Bleach Green area of Dungiven at around 10.50pm on Friday night.

It caused damage to a door and window of the property, which was unoccupied at the time.

Detective Inspector Gareth Lavery said: “We are appealing to anyone who was in the Bleach Green area at the time of the shooting and who noticed anything suspicious, or who may have dash-cam or mobile footage that could help with our investigation to get in touch.
