EMERGE is back with some of the biggest names in dance and electronic music from around the world.

The festival first kicked off in 2022 and attracts thousands of revellers to the Boucher Road Playing Fields for the August bank holiday weekend with around 40,000 people expected over this weekend August 24 and 25.

The 2024 festival will see a host of world class acts perform, including Patrick Topping, Peggy Gou and an Irish exclusive b2b set from KETTAMA and Skin On Skin plus Emerge festival debuts from the likes of Hannah Laing, Ben Hemsley, DJ Daddy Trance and loads more.

The 2024 Emerge Festival with have an even greater emphasis on the AV experience, truly offering the best audio-visual experience on the island. Boasting a line-up of more than 50 acts, across 4 stages and two days.

If you are heading to the concerts there are some things you need to know.

What can I not bring to the Boucher Road playing fields for EMERGE?

For health and safety reasons, no camping or collapsible chairs are to be permitted in the venue, while organisers have encouraged the crowds to bring waterproof clothes and wellies in case of a downpour. However, no umbrellas are permitted.

Strict security checks will be in operation, while patrons are especially advised not to bring large bags and backpacks, as they may experience delays or be refused entry.

  • Animals (other than registered guide or hearing dogs)
  • Any item which may reasonably be considered for use as a weapon
  • Audio recorders

  • Cameras with a detachable lens or recording equipment
  • Camping Equipment
  • Carts
  • Chains (of any kind)
  • Chairs (excluding wheelchairs)
  • Chinese or Sky lanterns
  • Cigarettes (in excessive quantities)
  • Deck chairs
  • Drones
  • Excessive quantities of anything, where there may be presumed intent to sell
  • Folding chairs
  • Food (except where otherwise stated)
  • Fireworks
  • Flag Poles
  • Flares
  • Glass / Glass containers
  • Go Pro cameras
  • Hard plastic reusable bottles
  • Hi-viz of any kind
  • Illegal substances
  • iPads
  • Knee-scooters
  • Laser pens or laser pointers
  • Lightsabers

You will not be allowed in with any of these items and there are no lockers for storage. Prohibited items will be confiscated and disposed of accordingly.

Is there a cloakroom or locker at Boucher Road playing fields for EMERGE?

Can I leave and re enter?

Once you’ve been scanned into the festival site, there will be no option to leave and re-enter. If you leave during the event hours, you will not be able to get back in.
